St Benedict's Primary School is committed to providing meaningful Indigenous education with the inclusion of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and culture in our classroom programs, Masses, Liturgies, assemblies and other school events. St Benedict's staff has, with much enthusiasm, adopted an eager approach to continually enhance our knowledge about our First Nation's Peoples and to impart this learning throughout the whole school community.
Our Aboriginal students and their families provide the catalyst from which the teachers draw upon to encourage learning, to explore and nurture their rich cultural heritage. With the knowledge, wisdom, guidance and invaluable support of the CE Aboriginal Education specialists, St Benedict's has, under the principles of social justice and equity, continued our faith journey in living the Gospel by acting with love and compassion, in providing a supportive environment for our Aboriginal students to develop in their education and thrive.
