Catholic Community Life
Third Sunday of Lent
In this week’s Gospel, Jesus drives out the money changers from the Temple and says that he will destroy the temple and raise it up again. Sometimes things seem pretty unbelievable. In the temple Jesus becomes angry and says something unbelievable to the people. Jesus didn’t really mean to knock down the Temple and put it back together again in three days. He was referring to himself as the Temple. When Jesus died on Good Friday, he knew he would come back to life in three days. The people didn’t understand. But when he rose from the dead, they saw for themselves, and many believed.
As a family, pray this prayer together to ask God and the angels to be ever present with you-
Angel of God,
My guardian dear
To whom God’s love commits me here.
Ever this day,
Be at my side
To light and guard
To rule and guide.
Amen
